Property Transfers

Are you considering purchasing or selling a property on Rattlesnake Island? We'd like to make sure your transaction goes through smoothly for you whether you are buying your new island property, or selling and moving away. There are some basic requirements from Rattlesnake Island Association (RIA) that need to be met to make sure the property transaction goes through without a problem.

Your real estate agent should manage this process for you. If you are using one of the lakes region real estate agents, they typically know what is needed for a successful transaction. If you aren't, here are the steps below to complete your property transfer. Only one form is needed for the transfer.

Buyer Info:

Effective Aug 1, 2026, there is a $3500 buy in fee paid by the buyer to RIA. Existing members of RIA who purchase a property will pay $2500.
Parking Passes, Trailer Tags, and Keys -The seller will not transfer anything to the buyer. You can get those through RIA after closing.
When your closing is complete, please contact RIA through the contact page to have you added to our database and request any passes, tags, or keys.

Seller Info:

Return all all parking passes, keys, and trailer tags to RIA: Rattlesnake Island Association, c/o High Tech Machinist Inc., 177 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford, MA 01824. These must be returned before Waiver of Right of First Refusal will be signed.

Instructions:

Buyers and sellers should fill out and make sure the 'Waiver of Right of First Refusal' (ROFR) is signed by our Duly Authorized Director/Officer.
For Director/Officer signature, please reach out on our Contact Us Page, and select Property Transfer for instructions on how to forward Waiver of Right of First Refusal.
Before ROFR will be signed, RIA will require this information:

Seller will need to make arrangements with the association for the return of any Parking Passes, Trailer Tags, or Keys.
Buyer will need to make arrangements with the association on how the buy-in fee will be paid.
