We are happy to announce that the “Annual Meeting” for the RIA will take place on the fourth Saturday of June at The Ellacoya Barn & Grille in Gilford.

Saturday, June 27, 2024

Ellacoya Barn & Grille

2267 Lake Shore Rd.

Gilford, NH  03249

Arrival 8:30 am – 9:00 am

Meeting start time – 9:00 am

Please register for the meeting on line at www.rattlesnakeassociation.com.  During registration you can let us know if you will be in attendance or assigning a proxy.  This is important as we require a majority of our membership, either in person or via proxy, to conduct business. If you do not know how to log onto our website, please contact Scott Nixon at scotty4@hotmail.com

Two of our Director’s terms expire this year, Jim Reams and Dave Dietrich.  Jim will be running for another three-year term.  Dave Dietrich will be resigning. The Board and the Officers would like to sincerely thank Dave for his years of service with our organization.

Karen Sedlar, the current President of the RIA, will also be resigning her position following the Annual Meeting.  Karen has been nominated to fill the vacant board position and will be running for a three-year term.

If there are any additional nominations for these board seats, please email your nomination(s), prior to the annual meeting, to Scott Nixon at scottyn4@hotmail.com.  Nominations must be received prior to June 20, 2026, to be considered and included in the Annual Meeting member vote.

The RIA Officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary) are voted into office, by the five directors, following the Annual Meeting each year.  Scott Nixon, our current Vice President, will be assuming the role of President, following Karen Sedlar’s resignation.

If you are interested in working with our Officers on the administration of our membership, please contact Scott.  We are looking to fill the role of Vice President.  The Vice President position supports the President and manages our IT, including our website, database, etc.  Therefore, the ideal candidate should have some computer savvy.

We look forward to seeing you all at our Annual Meeting.  We continue the expansion of our upper trailer storage area and are completing the resurfacing and landscaping of our mainland docks this spring.

Sincerely,

RIA Board of Directors and Officers
